A Place Where History & Comfort Connect

A Place Where History & Comfort Connect

Williamsburg Lodge Patio with Chair and Open Door - tall

Rockefeller Built. Marriott Perfected.

A historic gem crafted by John D. Rockefeller Jr. and designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in 1939. Part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, this lodge features folk art inspired by the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Museum, creating an atmosphere that's less formal than a museum but more comfortable than a living room. Plus, this historic hotel offers a prime location for accessing the Historic Area, Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, Merchants Square, and more!

The Story Behind the Lodge's Lanterns

Carrying the torch of hospitality.

Lanterns, symbols of hospitality & craftsmanship, are the Williamsburg Lodge Autograph Collection's unique "mark." This design element, seen throughout the hotel as doorhangers, décor pieces, and on staff uniforms, is a nod to the historic tradespeople of Colonial Williamsburg, especially the Tin Plate Workers, who handcraft lanterns in the Historic Area every day.
